RII50520 Diploma of Civil Construction Design

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as designers or design paraprofessionals who support professional engineers. They perform tasks involving a high level of autonomy and requiring the application of significant judgement in planning and determining the selection of equipment/roles/techniques for themselves and others. They are required to develop site specific work designs to ensure the implementation of the client’s site requirements. They demonstrate the application of a broad range of technical, managerial, coordination and planning skills.

Course duration:

Mode of study – face to face
Teaching weeks – 60 weeks
Course duration- 78 Weeks
Holidays – 18 weeks

 

There is no entry requirement for this qualification as per course training package. However, the applicant must meet Oban college’s following selection criteria

  • International students must meet academic and English entry requirements, including the qualification entry requirements if listed above.
  • Students must be a minimum of 18 years of age upon application or by the commencement date of the program
  • Students require a completed Year 12 or equivalent; or non-school- leavers are selected according to eligibility and merit, vocational experience, previous study, LLN and personal competencies
  • Student must have English Proficiency as guided by Oban College’s English Proficiency Policy and Procedure.
  • Where English is not the official language in the country where students are currently residing, evidence of a valid IELTS 6.0 or equivalent must be provided. Training and Assessment will be conducted through a combination of blended learning environments. Both knowledge and skill assessments are required to be completed with a competent outcome for each unit to achieve your certificate.
